Back in the early 90's, on my second or third junior year of college, I was home for Christmas break and my Dad asked me if I wanted to go with him to pick out a Christmas Tree. He took me to a small tree farm in New Milford where we took a hay ride to the back field and cut our own tree down. We used to go to a retail lot & pick out a precut tree.
A few things struck me that day with my dad:
Ø My dad and I were having fun together;
Ø All the other families were having fun too; and
Ø I could grow trees and have people come to my farm and charge them exorbitant prices.
Ten or so years later my Angel of a wife allowed me to work 10+ hours a day in the field all while going to graduate school, working full time and raising a family.
Bad luck struck early as we had two drought years in a row, then two bad winters where the deer sustained themselves at the expense of my Fraser Fir trees, not to mention that I had no idea what I was doing half the time. But finally we persevered and opened for business in 2007.

In addition to providing a high quality Christmas tree, that will hopefully be the centerpiece of your family's holiday decorations, we want you to get excited and look forward to coming to the farm each year to get your tree.

The farm is located on the New Milford/Sherman town line on Route 37. We are at the top of the hill. When you see the town line sign, Evergeen Lane is the eastern road. The western road is Osborn Road, which is in Sherman. It's the first property on the right once you get on to Evergreen.
